Quarterly earnings season is around the corner, and financial services firms are among the first to share their results.

Birinyi Associates screened about 260 companies that are members of the S&P 500 to see which names consistently beat top- and bottom-line estimates.

Within that group, the results for five financial stocks topped analysts’ estimates for both earnings and revenues 80% of the time
